When I price your job we can decide whether we need to

•        ‘make good’
•        PVA and skim
•        Over board

This will depend on the condition of the exiting walls and ceilings or on the contour of the existing patterns.

Dot and dab

This is when I stick (rather than screw) boards onto existing rendering or brickwork. This is thermally efficient type of work. There is also less drying out time and less risk of cracking.

Board work

This is the option to take if you want to divide up rooms.

I will build and insulate a new timber carcass frame. Plasterboard is then added to the frame and skimmed.

Floating/Skimming

This is solid plastering that is suitable for old damaged brickwork.

I would use 2 coats of waterproof sand and cement to ‘float’ walls and then ‘skim’ with plaster ready for decorating.

Coving

I can supply and fix 100mm and 127mm Gyproc coving to any internal room.

Rendering

This can be used in external work.

I would use 2 coats of waterproof sand & cement which will be finished with a ‘rubbed up, float’ finish – which means it is left flat and ready for painting.

New ceilings

We can remove existing ceilings and rebuild. Or we can overboard the old ceiling and skim.
